T
his UK labelography is just that - a meticulous collection of label variations since the disc was released; detailing differences in design, layout, font and other similar major and minor details. Our intentions with this section of the website is to create a chronology of these variations with as much detail as possible on specific dates of introduction and period of use. Soon we intend to add details of the correct sleeve, inner sleeve and relevant inserts for each LP also.

Some thumbnails have larger, more detailed scans that can be seen by clicking on them. Because of the possibility of these quality scans being used fraudulently to sell LPs on auction sites such as eBay they are all emblazened with a non-intrusive but visible watermark.

Throughout the labelography we may be be using terms or shorthand that you may not be familiar with depending on your level of collecting knowledge. If words such as rimtext, SIUK, matrix, Cat. No. etc aren't familiar to you or you want to clarify what we mean, please visit our "Glossary of Terms" article which should hopefully quickly answer your questions.

This will be an ongoing project that is likely to take a couple of years to complete. There are some discs that we at BeatlesCollecting don't own so some sections will take longer to do than others while we search for the required discs. Keep an eye on the News page for updates on our progress and upcoming features and additions. Also we tend to ask for specific label scans or opinions on the Forum so keep checking back every now and then!
